PLANT MANAGER

Position Summary:
The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety while maintaining alignment with company goals. The Plant Manager will be a strategic leader who excels at managing direct reports, delegating tasks effectively, and driving continuous improvement across all functions of Omega Thermo Products, Turbo Products, and Omega Metals.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial Management, or a related field.
7+ years of experience in plant management, operations management, or leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated experience in leading teams, process improvement, and strategic planning.
Ability to analyze data, KPIs, and trends to drive process improvements.
Strong leadership and team-building abilities, with a focus on employee development and satisfaction.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, and supply chain management.
Strong knowledge of ERP systems for production planning and inventory management. Experience with M1 preferred.
Position Responsibilities:
Direct and manage all stages of the manufacturing process from raw materials to finished goods.
Oversee production managers and maintenance personnel to ensure efficient and timely plant operations.
Ensure that production targets and quality standards are consistently met.
Lead, train, and motivate production teams to foster a high-performance culture.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement corrective actions as needed.
Assign tasks based on individual strengths and promote a positive work environment.
Identify and implement lean manufacturing techniques to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
Develop and execute strategic initiatives that align with business goals and improve profitability.
Continuously assess processes to drive innovation and operational improvements.
Develop and manage production schedules to meet customer demand and optimize resource utilization. Coordinate materials, equipment, and personnel to ensure smooth operations and cost efficiency.
Track and manage operational budgets to stay within approved financial limits.
Work closely with sales, engineering, quality, maintenance, and supply chain teams to ensure plant objectives align with company goals.
Provide regular updates on production status, metrics, and improvement opportunities by implementing and monitoring KPI’s.
Maintain and enforce quality control procedures to meet customer and regulatory standards.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols, including equipment maintenance and lockout/tagout documentation.
Collaborate with external safety firms to implement and update safety policies.
Monitor inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess and stockouts.
Track expenses and manage the department’s budget for optimal financial performance.
Actively participate in and lead monthly team meetings to share updates and discuss progress.
Lead initiatives focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
Analyze workflows and staffing models to improve performance and resource allocation.
Support workforce planning, job design, and standard operating procedure (SOP) creation.
Perform other tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support organizational goals.
