How Laser Plates are used for heat recovery: 36,800 MBTUH per year

October 22, 2019

Almost all manufacturing processes require large amounts of energy, which results in waste heat. One of these processes is in the pulp and paper industry.

A significant amount of waste heat is generated as a by-product of the paper making process. Most of this heat cannot be reused directly in the process as it has a high level of humidity and/or contains unwanted gaseous or particulate contamination.

Heat recovery equipment is a key element of energy-efficient mill operations, providing:

  •  Competitiveness through energy savings
  • Greenhouse gas emissions reduction
  • Reduced boiler load

This article of the first issue of Heat Exchanger World Magazine describes how this can be achieved by using Laser Plates.
