Position Summary:

As a Material Handler/Crating Professional, you will be assisting production by distributing raw materials and crating finished product as necessary to meet or exceed customer expectations.  To accomplish this, you will be working very closely with the Shipping and Receiving Lead as well as other departments in the Organization.  Take pride and ownership of all duties as if the company was your own and keep the customer’s interests in mind which may include flexing your schedule and working overtime as needed.  Maintain and promote a positive attitude and work environment.


  • High School diploma or equivalent

Position Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload product or raw materials from inbound and outbound trucks

  • Move and organize material for other departments

  • Assist and guide others as necessary to ensure proper training and quality levels are maintained

  • Must work as a team and contribute to each other’s success. This includes collaborating and working together, across all departments, to accomplish assigned tasks

  • Safely operate fork lifts, cranes and all other equipment and tools applicable to the job duties

  • Maintain high levels of quality in all tasks performed

  • Prepare and crate finished product to customer specifications

  • Regularly lift or move materials

  • Complies with all safety rules and regulations

  • Ensures work areas are clean and orderly

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Additional Qualifications:

  • Basic blue print reading
  • Ability to read tape measures, and other basic measurement tools

  • Must remain flexible and adaptable to changing situations and customer requirements

  • Exceptional attendance and punctuality

  • Prolonged standing, reaching, bending, hammering and lifting

  • Ability to work with and communicate well with others

  • Able to work off shift and overtime as necessary

Preferred Skills: 

  • Forklift and overhead crane use
  • Familiarity with wood working saws and air nailers

  • Excellent time management skills
