Position Summary:
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will be working with all of the different equipment and processes throughout the manufacturing shop floor. You are responsible for interpreting project blueprints, designing programs and troubleshooting CNC Laser welding and cutting machines. You will also be responsible for interpreting and setting up manufacturing operations in the ERP system. You may also be required to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the manufacturing process. To ensure success, you should have experience working in manufacturing, a keen eye for detail, a thorough understanding of different welding processes, and the ability to work unsupervised.
Education/Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or other related engineering discipline
Previous experience in a manufacturing setting
Position Responsibilities:
Reading and interpreting technical blueprints and design models
Program the CNC code from the product designs for the appropriate machine
Determine machine settings to the desired product specifications
Support maintenance with troubleshooting and resolve problems with machines as they arise
Define the product process steps and enter them into the ERP system
Evaluate the time and costs associated with different processes
Complies with all safety rules and regulations
Ensures work areas are clean and orderly
Perform other duties as assigned
Additional Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret design blueprints
Experience with computer modeling software
Strong attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Ability to work after-hours or additional hours when required
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of sheet metal fabricating and processing
Knowledge of stainless steel vessel design and fabrication including the AWS
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
Knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section VIII, Division 1
Proficiency in MS Office products such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
Experience with CNC Programing of Laser cutting equipment
