Omega Thermo Products started operations in the U.S. in 1998 with a 12,000 square foot shop. By 2008, it had grown to a 36,000 square foot facility with additional manufacturing and engineering capacity. Omega is currently nearing completion of an additional 12,000 square foot bay to be used primarily for material handling, crating, and shipping/receiving. The added floor space will eliminate the need to stage material in the laser welding and fabrication bays that is not for immediate use, thereby improving work flow. The building is designed with a focus on process and work flow - the layout allows for trucks to drive through the bay to load/unload material/product indoors. Overall, the addition will allow for these crucial steps in the manufacturing process to become increasingly efficient.
As Omega grows to support expanding markets such as brewing, wine making, and food processing, they have also steadily grown their Engineering, Sales, and Production departments. This stainless steel heat exchange manufacturing facility has a high priority focus on quality and streamlined production. The recent expansion will allow for Omega to support customer requirements for shortened lead times. The combination of additional facility space and increased capacity in all facets of the manufacturing process has given Omega the capability to provide customers an economical, high quality product.
